Bring a real investment decision or the story that still bothers you.
Hear how other experienced investors question theirs.
Learn how to find what you don’t know — before it counts.
The offer
Bring a real investment.
Hear another investor work through theirs.
Ask the question they didn’t think of.
Share the question you did.
Ward facilitates the discussion and adds 40+ years of investment experience when it helps. He’s not there to tell you what to buy. He’s there to help you learn how to question what you’re being told.
Everyone leaves with the same thing: a better way to make the next investment decision.
Why live
The worksheet gives you the questions.
Other investors show you what you missed.
Someone else asks about the fee.
Someone else notices the liquidity.
Someone else says, “Wait — how does this actually make money?”
That’s why the room matters.
The 90 minutes
The workshop moves from understanding the framework to using it — together.
Who’s here. What we’re trying to learn. Why no question is a dumb question.
A quick look at the 12 questions. Enough to recognize the pattern — not a lecture on investing.
One or two participants put a real pitch or holding on the table. The room questions it together. Ward adds perspective from four decades in the business.
Apply the questions to your investment. Hear what others are seeing. Add your own questions to the conversation.
Not “What should I buy?”
“What do I need to ask before I decide?”
Who's running this
1987. Black Monday.
I was 26, eight months into my first investment job.
The market fell 22.6% in one day.
The people in the room had more experience than I did.
Experience didn’t make the questions any better.
That lesson stayed with me:
Sounding like you understand an investment is not the same as understanding it.
Forty years later, I still see the same problem.
Different products. Different language. Same human reaction:
“Everyone else seems to understand this. I probably should, too.”
That’s where I come in.
I’m not here to be the smartest person in the room.
I’m here to help make the room a place where you can ask the question you were about to keep to yourself.
And then hear someone else’s question.
Tell your own story.
Learn from both.
— Ward
Ward Williams is Series 65 licensed, with a clean, publicly available regulatory record — two decades as a partner building an SEC-registered advisory firm, then a portfolio manager and investment counselor, and now principal of his own advisory practice and publisher of a market newsletter, The Ward on the Street. This workshop is separate from that advisory work: it's financial education, not individualized investment advice, and no advisor-client relationship is created by attending.
Reserve your seat
One real decision.
Forty-plus years of experience in the room.
Come hear how others think.
Share how you think.
Learn what you didn’t know to ask.
